Beginner Levels I, II, and III

We all have to start somewhere with our dancing, right? Then we might as well start learning to dance the right way. At Salsa Des Moines, we focus the beginner level classes on a firm understanding that, "if you don't dance the basic figures to the rhythm and timing of the music that is playing, then you're not really dancing". A firm knowledge and understanding of the fundamental "rules of engagement" of salsa dance is essential in building a solid foundation for learning how to dance.

But we also never lose sight of the fact that dancing has to be fun, easy, exciting, and that it should build self-confidence. At Salsa Des Moines, we make sure that you, not only learn to move to the correct timing of the music but, are having a great time dancing and asking other people to dance. We always believe that learning to dance becomes far easier if you're having fun doing it!
