Salsa Des Moines

• Advanced salsa material will vary at the discretion of the instructor.

• Advanced students will be introduced to the principles of ON2 and ChaCha rhythm and timing and will also be taught the musical concepts of the CLAVE rhythm (forward and reverse CLAVE), and the TUMBAO rhythm.

• Students who choose to enroll in the advanced salsa class MUST have taken the previous beginner, intermediate, and pre-advanced levels OR should have had substantial prior salsa dance experience.

• Prior level experience is essential because advanced students will be expected to already know the dance terminologies and techniques taught in previous levels.

• Instructor reserves the right to hold an "audition" for new advanced students that DID NOT go through the beginner and intermediate levels and wish to join the advanced class in order to determine their level of salsa dance skill and knowledge.

• Advanced course material is structured differently from the other Salsa Des Moines syllabi. Students are taught new material in each class. Students can purchase 4 classes but the classes have no expiry date. Advanced students do not have to complete all 4 classes within the month. Advanced students can purchase a new set of 4 classes when they have used up the previous purchase of 4 classes.
